Township of Perry Administrators Seek Engineers for Drainage Projects | News, Sports, Jobs
SALEM – Perry Township administrators met briefly on Monday, approving a motion asking the Columbiana County engineer to provide engineering for two drainage improvement projects.
One of the projects involves improving drainage on Colonial Drive, where problems have persisted for many years, causing damage to neighboring properties.
The other project concerns the widening of the roadway and the improvement of the drainage on Painter Road.
Trustees will either use their own staff or provide the necessary funding to put projects out to tender. Administrator Don Rudibaugh said engineer Bert Dawson was seeking a grant to fund the engineering of at least three drainage projects in the township. He said another possible project would be on Stewart Road.
In other cases, administrators approved an updated police policy manual. Board chairman Steve Bailey said the policy manual has not been updated for several years as the new manual is more comprehensive.
He said the zoning officer, who was not present at the meeting, reported four permits issued in September.
The next municipal meeting will be on October 11 at 4 p.m.
