The US government flogged blacks on the southern border

AUTHOR’S NOTE: For those who think my opinion piece is anti-American and unpatriotic, they can go to hell. My DNA reveals that I am more American than 99.9% of white people living in this country will ever be because they refuse to let go of their racism. I am predominantly African, a fifth European and a tenth Creek-Native. If you think my title is exaggerated, you are seriously mistaken. Every US border patrol officer is paid by the taxes of the American people.
What happened yesterday on the southern border of the United States was not just a crime against Haitian immigrants, but a crime against black people around the world and a crime against humanity. And someone has to be held responsible for this wickedness.
We saw in a movie white men on horseback loading and whipping blacks like overseers who were on a Mississippi slave plantation from the 1800s to the 21st century.
They used the tools they use to control their horses over black bodies as if these black refugees were anything but human.
It was triggering. It was barbaric. It was inhuman. It was racist. It was wrong. It was wrong.
Any US Border Patrol officer who whipped or started whipping a black person should be immediately terminated and charged with assault and battery. No investigation is necessary because it can be clearly seen on video who these criminals are.
We have to ask ourselves: when was the last time we saw non-black immigrants physically abused by border patrol agents? Personally, I’ve never seen it in the movies, although I’m sure it probably happened. But had they also used the whip against the Browns?
We saw border patrol officers round up people from Brown and put them in cages. We have seen them physically snatching children from their parents. But we’ve never seen them use the whip on brunettes, and we’ve never heard or read that they do. So why this harshness towards these immigrants of a different shade?
Trump had the courage to say it while in power; that he preferred immigrants from Scandinavian countries to those from black and brown nations. Perhaps this is why some black people preferred him to the locked-in racist – even if Trump did not consider himself a racist. Some of these black Republicans, although they will never tell a white person, preferred their direct and direct racism opposed to indirectly. Nonetheless, the Biden administration is apparently returning these black immigrants to Haiti faster than it has returned brown people to their countries of origin.
They are sent back to Haiti when many of them have lived in countries of South America and Central America for 5, 10 and in some cases 20 years.
There is a long history where Haitians are treated more harshly than brown immigrants. While the people of Brown are given court and hearing dates to seek asylum, Haitians are being swept and deported to the politically unstable island nation without this equal treatment.
No! Do I think President Biden is giving in to pressure from a polarized nation that continues to be gentle on white supremacist forces that have kept black Americans and black Haitians in adverse conditions for a generation? to the other ? Absoutely!
TMidterms are approaching and Democrats must hold the United States House and Senate. And strategically, showing even an ounce of compassion towards these desperately poor black immigrants is the quickest way to lose both.
Black America knows the political chess games that are played out from one administration to another. We also know that the arc of the moral universe is long as hell, but still leans toward righteousness. Nonetheless, we were reminded yesterday of how America has been and continues to treat black people.
Many non-black Americans will ask, “Why are so many black Americans unhappy with what happened on our southern border?” They are not Haitians; they are American.
Here is the answer to that question. Black Americans share a common bond with all blacks in the African diaspora made up of North and South America and the West Indies.
In fact, during the transatlantic slave trade, many of our families were separated after spending a generation or two in the West Indies before coming to America.
How do I know this is true? Not only is the recorded history, but also bBecause I found my own blood relative from the Antilles thanks to a DNA test which confirmed an oral tradition that had been passed down from generation to generation in my family: that our people had passed through the French colony of Martinique before coming to French Louisiana in the early 1800s. There is also an oral tradition that one of the first parents came from Haiti, which was also colonized by the French, in French-speaking Louisiana. He has been doing since. It would be easier to communicate with a French speaking slave in French speaking Louisiana.
Moreover, as a child, I had always wondered why my people looked like Haitians. Perhaps many of us came from the same part of Africa before we were taken prisoner and sold as slaves to Europeans who colonized the lands of other peoples across the ocean.
Coincidentally, my Louisiana origins and the Haitians who were beaten and treated less than human on the southern border hail from French-speaking regions of the Western world, and much of our DNA traces our ancestral lineages back to French-speaking colonized African nations.
Then yes! I was triggered, like so many other black Americans.
I have been very supportive of this new administration. Biden said the dollars stopped with him. However, I do believe that this anti-black behavior that took place at the American border warrants a sincere apology from the President of the United States to black Americans and the Haitian people.
